“Out of Order by Ray Cooney from Tuesday 10 to Saturday 14 May 2016

Out of Order 4

When a Government minister organises an assignation in a swanky London Hotel, events become complicated in ways that he could never imagine.  Throw in a suspicious husband, interfering staff, a harassed parliamentary private secretary, an unconscious nurse and a private detective, not to mention the MP’s wife, along with something dreadful concealed behind a defective sash window, and things go from bad to worse.
This hilarious play in the Whitehall tradition received the Olivier award for Best New Comedy 1991, and our showing got rave reviews in the Sheffield Telegraph

“Deep Blue Sea” by Terence Rattigan from Tuesday 2 to Saturday 6 February 2016
Deep Blue Sea 1

The Deep Blue Sea is considered by many to be Terence Rattigan’s finest work and it was written at the height of his fame. The play revolves around the relationship between Hester Collyer, her husband William (a judge) and her lover Freddie Page (an ex Battle of Britain pilot) Though contained within a perfectly crafted well made play, Rattigan’s finely observed portrait of Hester gives this play an almost classical depth and emotional resonance. For its time the play is emotionally revealing, unabashed and unrepressed. Its a play about love and lust and how it was to live just after the war.

“Bedroom Farce” by Alan Ayckbourn from Tuesday 17  to Saturday 21 November 2015
